The Written Forms of the Arabic Alphabet Video
Posted on Monday, November 26, 2012
Just published, a new video on the written forms of the Arabic Alphabet. Practice writing the various forms of each letter as you watch the video, this should familiarize you with each letter and allow you to recognize it immediately when reading words.
The Arabic letters do not always appear the same when written. Depending on where they occur in a word, they can often change shape. Whilst this appears to create some additional complexity compared to other languages, it is not really that difficult at all. When you look a bit closer and analyse each of the letters, you will find that there are numerous factors which make identifying a specific letter to be extremely easy.
Log in and watch the video now (go to Course Library => The Arabic Alphabet => The Written Alphabet => Watch the Arabic Letters Being Written by Hand!). You can practice with paper and pen as you watch the video or you can also practice with your mouse (or using a touch-screen device) in the lesson which follows immediately after (Arabic Letter Writing Practice).
