Beta-Test Registration Open Again Temporarily

Following a limited beta-test launch, we received a huge response (maashaa'Allaah) with more registrations than we anticipated. Registration was stopped to allow us to test the platform with the current user base.

It appears (alhamdulillaah) that we have encountered no problems or significant bugs in the platform and things appear to be running smoothly. For this reason we have re-opened registration, but again only for a limited time, as we are still in beta-test mode.

Note About the LearnArabic.Com Platform

LearnArabic.Com is optimized to work on the Firefox browser on the PC or Mac. The reason is that it has the best support for display of Arabic text. Chrome had a few deficiencies and Safari was way down the league, not even being able to support display of many unicode characters. Further, because many large companies are interested in their own monopolies, they do not agree on common standards for display of audio or video for example, and as a result it becomes difficult for developers to create a web platform that works in exactly the same way across all devices, especially with the rise of tablets and mobile devices. If you are using Safari (on a PC or a Mac) for example, you will not be able to hear audio because Safari (unlike Firefox and Chrome) does not support certain audio formats. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you use LearnArabic.Com with Firefox for the best possible experience, though Google Chrome performs equally well except for display of Arabic text in certain circumstances.
